LEFT: Br. Paul Friedman (left) and Abbot President Peter Eberle (right) came for our official triennial Visitation on June 5-9.

With Br. Joachim and Br. Matthew serving, Abbot Xavier offered his first anniversary Mass, thanking Our Lord and Our Lady for helping us over so many hurdles and giving us so many graces.

Abbot Peter Eberle, Abbot president, enjoyed a relaxing moment with Abbot Xavier on the deck outside St. James Room after the Visitation.

Visitation 2011

Abbot Xavier's First Anniversary June 16, 2011

LEFT: It's hard to believe a year has past. However, on June 16, 2011 we celebrated Abbot Xavier's first year as Abbot with a pontifical Mass and a day of community activity.

Franciscan Friar, Frater John, FI, (right) from New Bedford joined the monks and visitators for dinner.

LEFT: Fr. James assists Fr. Basil who is greeted at the Abbey by Abbot Xavier. All three in the nursing home were able to ride our "new" handicap access bus and come home for the day of festivities.

RIGHT: Fr. Anthony made sure Fr. Basil didn't roll into the Nashua River and we all spent the day relaxing up at Saint Mary's House.

We closed the day with a delicious informal dinner with all the guests and we thanked God for the gift of Abbot Xavier.

It appears that Scott Kinnee had a good time, but if you know Scott, you know that he is always smiling anyway.
